We present an album that is the result of an artistic meeting of two outstanding figures: jazz pianist, accordionist, arranger, and composer Andrzej Jagodziński, and poet, painter, and lyricist Jan Wołek.
This is a unique fusion of jazz and literature, where reflection meets sound of the highest caliber.
The album consists of five compositions by Andrzej Jagodziński, the piece Jasmin Lady by Zbigniew Namysłowski, and a work arranged by Andrzej Jagodziński and inspired by Nadir’s aria from Georges Bizet’s opera The Pearl Fishers.
In addition to the core lineup of the Andrzej Jagodziński Trio — Andrzej Jagodziński, Adam Cegielski, and Czesław Bartkowski — the recording also features outstanding artists from the Polish music scene: Agnieszka Wilczyńska, Robert Majewski, Henryk Miśkiewicz and Jacek Namysłowski.
The album JAGODZIŃSKI – WOŁEK is music that moves and inspires, staying with the listener for a long time—full of energy, emotion, and poetic depth.
