This is the first and the most awarded CD of the Trio – “Fryderyk 1994” (The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry Award), Best Record ’94 Award for the disc Chopin in the Jazz Forum Magazine readers poll and finally the “20. years of Fryderyk” award as result of the voting by the music fans.
Nowadays it seems almost impossible – all the recording, including piano tuning and setting up the microphones, took… 6 hours only. Sound engineer, Wojtek Przybylski, made the sound with no equalization nor correction. There were only microphones and the DAT recorder. The CD was recorded live with no overdubs, no editing, just two, three takes to choose the best one. That’s why one can hear there a lot of joy, musical interaction and artistic vibe.
